Urban Heat Island in Taipei

The Urban Heat Island Effect is a phenomenon that occurs in numerous urban areas, and this project aims to vividly depict temperature data from a typical summer day in Taipei. By visualizing the dynamic movement of particles, the viewer can distinctly sense the gradual accumulation of heat within this densely populated cityscape. This immersive experience provides valuable insights into how urbanization and high population density contribute to the intensification of heat, highlighting the importance of understanding and addressing the challenges posed by the Urban Heat Island Effect in metropolitan environments like Taipei.
